Maybe Bertl Mütter’s music could be called Slow Food for the ears: It wants to be discovered. The one who finds it will be rewarded richly. Mütter was born 1965 in Steyr and is now living as freelance musician, composer and author in Vienna, Steyr and on the road. Solo-work is central, often as music about music (among others to Schubert, Schumann, Mahler, Wagner, Feldman) but he also likes to perform with other musicians (Ensemble der Radikalen Mitte – ERM) as well as poets. Since 2014, Mütter – who has received the Doctor artium – invites to his School of Wonder in the Wiener Konzerthaus among others. Mütter’s exclusive Schagerl-trombone is called MUT!HORN-SL.
